Services
My wellness practice is structured to support your individual health goals. Programs are developed according to the client's specific health needs. Certain treatments focus on mothers-to-be, while other programs can target surgery recovery, weight management or improving energy levels.
Prenatal Massage
Focuses on the special needs of the mother-to-be by reducing stress and promoting relaxation, increasing blood and lymph circulation, reducing edema and promoting relief from varicose veins as well as helping with musculoskeletal strain and discomfort. Techniques used include lumbosacral stretch, sacroiliac joint release and quadratus lumborum rebalancing, all integrated with traditional Swedish strokes and Aromatherapy.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Activates lymph function and circulation, reduces edema, stimulates the immune system, and increases parasympathetic response in the body. In addition, it helps drain toxins and promotes the reabsorption of edema and fat. It is usually recommended after post-trauma surgery or any surgery involving the removal of major lymph nodes.
Craniosacral Therapy
A gentle treatment that helps balance the movement of fluids in and around the central nervous system facilitating the natural ability of the body to self-correct. It is a modality recommended for, but not limited to, clients recovering from a sports injury, surgical procedures, stroke, or neurological impairment.
Swedish Massage
This classic massage energizes the body and helps improve overall health. It has a tremendous positive impact on the nervous system and is proven to reduce stress and pain. It is known to strengthen immunity, reduce anxiety, and can relieve symptoms of depression.
With any physical activity, we want our bodies to be at their highest performance level. My athlete care protocol focuses on the active client who has an intense workout regimen. Programs can target pain relief management caused by high-impact activities but also can assist clients recovering from injury who wish to resume an active lifestyle
Orthopedic Massage
Addresses the musculoskeletal structure of the body, helps increase range of motion, and provides relief from myofascial pain. Techniques used are ROM testing, static pressure, and passive and active joint motion. Clients may experience an increased range of motion after just a few sessions.
Myofascial Release
Helps increase tissue elasticity and creates better movement in the body by releasing restrictions and adhesions of fascial tissue. This massage technique can be helpful post-surgery once healing has occurred.
Sports Massage
Uses an array of techniques to address specific areas of the body. The goal is to reduce the stress and tension that builds in the soft tissue of the body during exercise. Highly recommended for active clients who have physically demanding lifestyles or hobbies as it helps increase endurance and improve performance.
